In art we have been learning about the use of lines and colours. For a fun art project, the class worked on some minion self-portraits, which are now proudly displayed on top of their coat hooks. Before the students began their wonderful creations, we looked at what a minion looked like. We then discussed what a self-portrait was. Through the discussion, the students realized that they would need to make their minions look like them. The minions had to have the same hair colour, eye colour, and wear similar clothing to what they wear everyday. The class really enjoyed this art project. Take a look at some of the wonderful creations below and see if you can find your child's artwork.

Welcome to our class blog page! I will continue to update this blog throughout the year, so please do check in once in a while to see what we in room 113 are upto.
On Friday the class discussed the question, "what is a goal?" Students came up with the idea that a goal is what you decide to work on in order to become better at it. After our discussion, students were assigned the task of coming up with three different goals for the school year: 1) A reading or writing goal 2) A math learning goal 3) A dojo goal (a goal that focused on a learning or behaviour skill) The students in the class really thought deeply on what it is they wished to work on throughout the school year and came up with some great goals for themselves. Feel free to ask your child what his or her goals are for the school year. Have a wonderful day! -Ms.Bhamjee |
